Stillwater

A dull retelling of a tragic incident - 4/10

by Movies-Graded

QUICK THOUGHTS: A lethargic retelling of Amanda Knox's story, "Stillwater" is, much like its protagonist, a one-dimensional ride that will test the patience of its audience throughout its 139-minute (!) long runtime. It's a painfully mediocre narrative that never even tries to have an identity of its own, with the result being an incredibly generic film that will likely be forgotten nearly immediately by anyone who sits through it. But hey, if you want to spend nearly two and half hours watching a confused Matt Damon play a guy who definitely owns a t-shirt with the words "All Lives Matter" printed on it, then be my guest.

MOVIE'S GRADE: 4/10
