Child's Play

A NICE NEW TAKE ! - 7/10

Good horror remakes are a rare breed so it is always a gr8 pleasure to witness a very good one. Child's Play was very well directed and cinematographed, with a thematic color palette of majorly red and blue in addition to other colors reminiscent of 80's horror and 80's Spielberg era especially with Andy having a striking resemblance to Sam Elliot's character in E.T. I admired how they altered the toy's evil nature, giving it a witty and modern twist that tells you something about the evils of mankind itself and its hand-made technology.
