The Nutcracker and the Four Realms

Perfect for kids - 6/10

by SardonicA

A story of a young girl who needs to find a one-of-a-kind key in order to open a gold egg containing some sort of a priceless gift, that was given by her mother. In her pursuit of it, she vanishes into a strange and mysterious parallel world.

Before watching this, one should keep in mind that "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms" has that "Alice in Wonderland" vibe to it or more like written all over it bas ino haha

What impressed me most was cinematography, production and makeup. The way it was shot, angles, color fixation were all just phenomenal. Makeup felt so real and authentic. And production was done properly.

Acting was good in general but Keira Knightley was the star of it all. She knew exactly what she was doing and put some real effort into it.

Story was predictable, honestly, and a couple of scenes were a bit cliché. Also the messages were literally just thrown to our faces. (Which makes it perfect for kids)

A movie that won't bother adults and will surely entertain the little ones.
