A total waste of time and talent.

King of Thieves is a true crime film about a crew of retired crooks who pull off a major heist in London's jewelry district. What starts off as their last criminal hurrah quickly turns into a brutal nightmare due to greed.

Disappointment. Disappointment. Disappointment. This film is just one big disappointment.

Personally, im not a fan of crime movies, so entering the theater room last night, i didn't have high expectations but i definitely wasn't expecting a train wreck (and no im not exaggerating).

This film is filled with flaws. For starters, it's extremely slow paced. I don't know why James March decided to make it this way- maybe he thought we needed to know the characters deepest and most insignificant motives and details and it doesn't matter what he thought because it totally backfired and we ended up with a really boring/tasteless movie.

Plus, in a movie about a grand heist, i expected a little bit of suspense and action but boy was i wrong, this movie had absolutely no suspense, it was dull from the beginning. Thus, restating my claim that it's just a boring movie.

In addition, thes storyline is very inconsistent. It was all over the place. Talk about wasted opportunity because March could've made. Something really cool and watchable with the story but he took the other way. Again, this is bad directing folks.

But i have to admit that the only good and worthy thing about King of Thieves is its incredible cast of well respected actors. I loved their chemistry  especially Michael Caine and Tom Courtenay's. But i cant shake the feeling that they totally wasted their time and talent on such rubbish. Too bad.

In the end, unfortunately, this movie will go down as one of my worst movies of the year because it lacked all the right elements (except the cast) to be successful.

Not recommended.
