Aladdin

Childhood redeemed - 7.5/10

By far one of my favorite remade Disney movies. It actually got better, giving it a modernized twist with respect to the storyline, characters, and music. Generally speaking, the movie somehow kept the same fundamental points of the 1992 version, but a lot of differences occurred. sadly stating them would spoil the movie. The whole execution was extravagant. The costumes are on point. The movie set and design were ornamented with an arabesque ambiance. Perfect. Also, the whole cast was on point. In my opinion, Naomi Scott playing Jasmine, did the most outstanding job delivering the women empowerment issue. Last but not least, I can’t get over the newly added soundtrack “speechless”, written by the one and only Alan Menken and La La Land songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, which is executed in a very powerful and touching way. It is highly entertaining and recommended.
