Joker

Disturbingly realistic!! - 9/10

Forever alone in a crowd, failed comedian Arthur Fleck seeks connection as he walks the streets of Gotham City. Arthur wears two masks -- the one he paints for his day job as a clown, and the guise he projects in a futile attempt to feel like he's part of the world around him. Isolated, bullied and disregarded by society, Fleck begins a slow descent into madness as he transforms into the criminal mastermind known as the Joker.

This shit is real life. There's so very few times when cinema managed to transcend all physical/virtual barriers and created a perfectly immersive and gut punching experience that literally had the power to transform minds and souls. Joker is one of those rare cinematic experiences.

I'm traumatized (in the best way possible) by its sheer realness and darkness. For once, I'm speechless. I'm afraid I can't truly find the right words to describe what I've just witnessed!! I'm, personally, touched both, psychologically and emotionally.

You need to take into consideration that This isn't your average Anti-hero kind of stories, nor is it your average Film, for that matter. Joker is an accurate portrayal of a system called society, a society filled with FEAR, CRUELTY, INJUSTICE... and its lethal consequences on man. Deep down, its an exploration of a man's troubled mind in a sick society, in a fearful society!!

It's absolutely creepy, disturbing, raw and dark. It will slowly, but surely, start to take its toll on you and trust me, you won't be the same person as before. Life literally won't be the same.

I don't want to write a big review and talk infinitely because no matter what I write, I know I can never do it justice!! In a nutshell, This film requires to be seen and felt. It's emotionally and psychology demanding and exhausting!

The Character study of THE JOKER is one of the best I've seen this entire year. Its scarily accurate, detail-oriented and simply intense. And Joaquin Phoenix just, definitely, gave us the performance of his career. This man, I swear there's something entirely wrong with him!! With such a performance, you must be, realistically insane, because no man with his right mind, can ever do what Joaquin just did.

Everything else from the cinematography, to the editing, to colors, to atmosphere, to the soundtracks is a work of pure art. Everything was infused with an overdose of darkness, depth and intrigue!!

I gladly admit, that for once, Im absolutely speechless. And I know that my review didn't do this film any justice but im literally out of words.

Thank you Todd Philipps, thank you!!!!!!!!! P.S: this is how you end a film!!!!!!
