Dark, realistic and unpredictable. These are not things that we usually see in comic films but “JOKER” managed to break the rules and present one of the best villains in the history of Cinema differently. I can easily say that this is the best way to portray such a complicated character, you feel like you really understand his actions, motives and transformations. As for Joaquin Phoenix, all I can say is that his performance was flawless, he was a PERFECT Joker. You can’t really compare him to the previous Jokers because this one is really different. Phoenix knew how to portray every single aspect of this unique character in the most beautiful way I can ever imagine. Just give him the Oscar already!!! I know it’s irrelevant to talk about flaws in such a brilliant movie, but some scenes were a bit too slow. The overall experience was more than satisfying and I can’t wait to watch it again. “Masterpiece” is the perfect word to describe it.... JOKER is definitely one of this year’s best.
