A sequel made 40 years after the original film is not always a good idea... unless you know what you’re doing. “Halloween” has a consistent plot, great performances and beautiful execution. The main problem facing horror films nowadays is mainly unnecessary exaggeration, and it’s totally absent in this film, you believe everything happening because it feels real. Is it predictable? Yeah some jump scares were obvious, but that’s a minor flaw compared to all the others things this movie achieved. The movie serves its purpose from the very first moment. Great characters with strong motives, one of the best villains in a horror franchise and scenes that will make you feel a real terror. It’s the Halloween film every horror fan deserves... if you’re really into this genre you will love it
