A major cinematic surprise! - 7/10

Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle, nothing could prepare Dora for her most dangerous adventure yet -- high school. Accompanied by a ragtag group of teens and Boots the monkey, Dora embarks on a quest to save her parents while trying to solve the seemingly impossible mystery behind a lost Incan civilization.

Let's get one thing straight, I, not in a million years, would've have expected, A live action Dora movie to be this entertaining!!!

Generally speaking, this adaptation feels absolutely fresh and adventurous due to the fact that it doesn't try to be realistic or take itself seriously, for that matter.

The script was, despite being a bit cliché, absolutely hilarious, it contained some real witty and genuine jokes which against all odds worked.

It also had an ensemble of funny and imaginative characters which were portrayed by amazing actors such as the absolutely talented Isabela Moner, whom this movie would've flopped without her fabulous acting skills. And Eva Longoria, Michael Pena and Eugenio Derbez also gave good performances despite being extremely over the top. But I really believe that Jeff Wahlberg (Diego) was kind of miscasted, i wasnt convinced with his performance, at all.

The CGI and special effects could've been better but at the same time they weren't disastrous.

Overall, Dora and The Lost City Of Gold is one cinematic adventure filled with colors, humor and exotic animals that all youngsters and adults will enjoy!
