A fascinating piece of cinema! - 8/10

Egyptian movies are definitely not my thing. And I know, as a movie lover, that i shouldn't be saying this. But its the truth!! To be totally honest, I had zero intentions in watching this film, but after you guys requested it, i decided, despite my serious doubts, to give it up and try it out!

And now I, here in front of you all, announce that I was totally mistaken, as this film (an Egyptian film, and im so proud to say this) is one of the most fascinating and intriguing films I've watched this year.

Five years after the first film, Doctor Yehia is now married to Lobna. He is called back at the psychiatry critical cases department where he meets those who manipulate his life and his family’s life. Yehia uses the blue elephant pills in an attempt to control things and solve the puzzles he faces.

Generally speaking, this film was absolutely immersive and intriguing. The story contained just enough depth and mystery to keep the entire audience invested till the end. It tackled some interesting issues as well , issues that are hardly seen in any arabian movie out there . It also contained inspiring life messages. Overall, the story was cleverly written and perfectly executed.

Moreover, this film's cast did a remarkable job in portraying their Characters, Karim Abdul Aziz, Hend Sabri, Eyad Nassar and Ahamad Khaled Saleh delivered really solid performances. But Nelly Karim absolutely dominated the screen with her killer charisma and undeniable charm.

And not to forget about the amazing soundtracks, which helped in creating an intense atmosphere from start to finish. The special effects and visuals were also really powerful and Jaw dropping.

Personally speaking, The Blue Elephant 2 managed to surpass my expectations in all of its aspects. And its definitely the best movie to watch this Eid.
