Five Feet Apart

A definite tearjerker!!! - 7/10

My review for 'Five Feet Apart' is long overdue and for that I apologize. While it might not stand out, this film is one hell of an emotional roller-coaster that will have you ugly crying in no time.

Seventeen-year-old Stella spends most of her time in the hospital as a cystic fibrosis patient. Her life is full of routines, boundaries and self-control -- all of which get put to the test when she meets Will, an impossibly charming teen who has the same illness. There's an instant flirtation, though restrictions dictate that they must maintain a safe distance between them. As their connection intensifies, so does the temptation to throw the rules out the window and embrace that attraction.

Honestly speaking, I wasn't expecting this movie to be this good. This doesn't mean it was flawless, because it wasn't, not in any way (it was a bit cringy, predictable and the pace was too slow for my liking) but I honestly honestly can't take it out of my mind. It actually grew on me, im usually not into such types of films but i fell hard for this one.

In general, I liked the whole atmosphere of the movie, it was cozy and warm. The story is manipulative, it feeds on your despair and sensitivity to try and deliver a really interesting message and informations about CF.

But what's truly remarkable is the acting, Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson are a really cute and heart-warming duo. But man, that Haley had some SICK performance, absolutely raw, powerful and sincere. Wow im literally stupefied.

So Yes, Five Feet Apart might not be your first choice for a romantic movie but trust me, its one that you won't be able to forget anytime soon.

Ohh dont forget to bring a pack of tissues with you because its definitely a tearjerker this one. Recommended!!
