Toy Story 4

A warm animation - 8/10

by The Movie Inspector

A warm animation, Toy Story 4 has the perfect dose of comedy, entertainment and heart that’ll appeal to all members of the family. The movie keeps one occupied with its engaging narrative and still manages to deliver on some very powerful messages.

Everyone’s favorite toys are back after 9 long years and this movie reminds us just why they’re so lovable. After Toy Story 3, I didn’t expect to see Woody and his friends once again but here they are and they most definitely don’t disappoint. This Franchise thats been around for the past 24 years always manages to deliver great entertainment and instantly allows viewers to connect with its characters. The New characters were an interesting addition, especially forky who totally stole the show. ‘Toy Story 4’ follows Woody and the gang as they journey on a road trip and discover a whole lot of things that toys should experience.

From start to finish, this movie was hilarious and incredibly heartwarming. Pivotal moments will surely hit you hard and you might even shed a tear or two. It truly goes back to how compelling these you characters are, as you deeply care for them and follow them all around their adventures. Even the new characters manage to earn your sympathy, those being Forky, Gabby Gabby and Duke Caboom. Forky however is the center of attention and as the movie progresses he proves to be the most essential character in it, plus he’s totally hilarious. I’m sure most viewers will fall in love with his goofy personality.

Once again, the voice cast does a spectacular job and elevate the movie all-the-more. Additionally, the film works with quite an organized structure and was perfectly paced. I didn’t even feel the runtime pass by due to how immersed I was in the whole story. The powerful messages touched on include friendship, loyalty and letting go of the past and boy how they were smoothly tackled. My only issue is that the movie kind of felt overcrowded but still managed to be purely entertaining. By the time the end credits roll, I have no doubt that you’ll be moved, so do yourselves a favor and watch this movie if you haven’t already.
