An intense action flick, John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum is a pulse-pounding film that keeps viewers occupied from start to finish. It provides us with everything we could possibly wish for from the titular character and is guaranteed to leaving you begging for more!
John Wick is back, angrier than ever and he’s not willing to go down without a fight. The film delivers on all its promises and proves to be a worthy successor to its previous two movies. Picking off right after the events of the second movie, it instantly gets down to business and opens with a first act that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat. The intensity and suspense play out really high throughout the movie and you’ll undoubtedly enjoy its 131 minute runtime. It truly doesn’t fool anyone and does the absolute best for what it is. ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum’ follows John Wick who is on the run after he becomes excommunicado for killing a member of the high table on continental grounds.
The truly impressive thing about this movie is how it feels so rich while working with something not so complicated. Keanu Reeves was once again amazing as John Wick, a role he truly fits in so perfectly. It’s even in his comedic scenes that he adds so much. Halle Berry was an interesting addition to the cast and so were those Dogs of hers, who really did a lot. One tiny problem I had with the movie was the fact that it was slightly overcrowded with supporting characters. Some weren’t explored enough whereas others didn’t contribute all that much to the storyline. However, this isn’t a huge issue as it doesn’t directly affect the story.
The runtime is barely felt as the smooth pacing will take you through this adrenaline-filled journey and maintain your interest all throughout. Great performances from the majority of the cast also elevate the movie. All the action sequences are incredibly well choreographed and quite impressive. I truly think this film series excels in the action genre and I’m really interested to see what future installments hold in store for us. John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum opens on June 6 in Lebanon so make sure not to miss it!
