Best Animated Movie of the Year - 9/10

Disney and Pixar never cease to amaze me.

Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang embark on a road trip with Bonnie and a new toy named Forky. The adventurous journey turns into an unexpected reunion as Woody's slight detour leads him to his long-lost friend Bo Peep. As Woody and Bo discuss the old days, they soon start to realize that they're worlds apart when it comes to what they want from life as a toy.

Toy Story 4 is what we never knew we needed until we got it. This movie made my friends and I and emotional wreck.

As the end credits rolled, right after Woody and Buzz recited the lines "To infinity...and beyond," tears rolled down our cheeks as we said goodbye to this franchise that brought people of all ages together and created new fans. 

This movie tackles a big number of life lessons targetted at adults and children together. It makes everyone think of what to do to make them happier in life. It clears out the illusion of life as Woody, Forky, and Gabby Gabby all realize that their goals in life is different to one another.

The comedy in this movie is, undeniably, the best I've seen in a while. It includes jokes for audiences of all ages.

The screenplay is fantastic. It brings homage to the first three movies as well as delivers great lines that have turned to instant classics.

The character of every main toy changes drastically throughout the film as each toy discovers itself even more than before. Gabby Gabby is one of my favourite new characters as she wasn't given the toy life that she deserves. Forky is my favourite new character, it shows that where you are from does not decide who you will be. The best character arc shall go to Woody as he slowly figures out that he can't be everyone's saviour and sometimes it's best to stand back and be a background toy for once. As Woody discovers that, he realizes that this is the best time to leave the gang and follow his heart, with Bo Peep, proving once again that men are trash but toys aren't. 

This movie's soundtrack is phenomenal as it brings back memories of old movies and helps create new ones.

Animation and CGI are, as usual, the best in the industry giving us great visuals. One thing I'd like to point out is the variety of toys in this movie. We have stuffed toys, glass toys, teddy bears and dummy dolls. Something we haven't seen a lot of before.

If you could spot Boo from Monsters Inc. then you are a true Pixar fan!

Overall, this movie is, in my opinion, the best animated movie of the year! :p
