A flawed yet scary film - 5/10

Studios are mainly focusing on “scaring” the audience rather than giving them a good story to watch.... this strategy is creating some entertaining yet forgettable horror films. “Annabelle Comes Home” had a weak plot, the script was poorly written and the dialogue was cheesy. It had some good shots and acting was okay, but the story itself wasn’t interesting. The first part were it was trying to introduce the characters was boring and felt forced. The characters didn’t have enough charisma so I couldn’t built a real connection with them, even their backgrounds were too simple. When it comes to the “scary part”, I guess the movie succeeded in creating the right atmosphere with some jump scares and good ideas. It delivered its job and made me feel uncomfortable during these scenes. The movie introduced many characters that will definitely have their own films in the future, but I wish to see more story in later projects because scary scenes won’t make a good movie after all. If you’re a fan of this franchise and you really enjoy horror films... then Annabelle will give you nightmares!!!
