Rocketman

A “TRUE” biography - 9/10

by This Is My Review

You’ll realize that “Rocketman” isn’t a clichee biography since the very first scene.... because Elton John’s story is not something ordinary or normal. The movie knew how to create its own signature without being chaotic. The way they chose to portray some of Elton’s life sequences gave the movie a unique aspect and helped in building a connection and to sympathize with his character. I loved the way they used Elton’s songs in most of the scenes and the movie had some really deep and emotional moments. Taron Egerton mastered the role, he was a new version of Elton John, with every move or facial expression he was able to portray his character’s transformations in a beautiful way (Do I smell an Oscar Nomination?). The movie’s runtime is a bit too long, some scenes were repetitive especially in the second act but the overall experience was more than satisfying. I love it when a movie adds something new and presents its story in a creative way and that’s what Rocketman tried to do. An unusual biography of a unique artist.... “Rocketman” is a powerful movie not to be missed.
