A Visual Masterpiece Gone Downhill - 6/10

We knew this movie was going to be filled with flaws.

To make this easier and to the point I'm going to split this review into positives and negatives

Postives:

As we have been accustomed to the visual effects and cinematography are to die for. Visually pleasing to the eyes and perfectly edited to help us watch the story progress.

Sophie Turner helps portray Jean Gray in an astonishing manner. She helps us see all the different layers of her character and, at some points, even sympathize with her. Sophie plays this character so easily. Kudos to this amazing talented actress.

Jessica Chastain and Micheal Fassbender also provide a great performance to each of their characters

Negatives:

This movie just messes with the overall timeline of the franchise, as did some previous movies in this series. 

The screenplay seems forced and some characters had little to no motive to even be present in the movie.

Jessica Chastain's villain character was very shallow.

Despite all that, I still believe that this movie is worth watching. It is officially the last entry in the foXmen franchise and the next time we're gonna see these characters is gonna  be withing the MCU. As much as this franchise messed up throughout these past movies, it still feels bittersweet to say goodbye. As Monica from Friends once said, IT'S THE END OF AN ERA.

With that, the final rating might be a little biased, but this franchise finale deserves it.
