The hyper-realistic drama thriller Hotel Mumbai is definitely one of my favorite movies so far.

I have to admit, I'm usually not interested in such films (maybe that's why i took so long to watch it) but what a movie this is!!!! IM ABSOLUTELY SPEECHLESS !

Hotel Mumbai retells the true story of the Taj Hotel terrorist attack in Mumbai. Hotel staff risk their lives to keep everyone safe as people make unthinkable sacrifices to protect themselves and their families.

This film works best at being a realistic reminder of terrorism, heroism and acts of bravery.

Terrorism, a word we're so used to it by now that we somehow seem to forget about its destructive consequences. In the broadest sense, terrorism is the use of intentionally indiscriminate violence as a means to create terror among masses of people.

According to the Institute for Economics and Peace's Global Terrorism Index, the last decade has seen a significant increase in both the level of conflict and the impact of terrorism around the world. In 2014, battle-related deaths reached a 25 year high and deaths from terrorism also peaked.

Ye3ne, i dont know what to say. These statements are horrifying. People nowadays, especially in the middle east, are in fears of their lives of terrorist attacks. Kids are orphaned, wives/husbands are widowed and left on the street to die.

As i mentioned earlier, terrorism has some very destructive consequences on various factors such as the economical, social, political, educational and environmental factors but what im more concerned about is the human factor which has suffered more than any other aspect. People, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandparents.... Are left traumatized, if not killed by such monstrous acts. PTSD and various other mental disorders, poverty, disabilities and diseases are just some of what people affected with terrorism face on a daily basis.

The purpose of writing all of this is to show how insignificant the human soul has become. Too bad! Anthony Maras, thank you for shining some light on this matter/topic that affect our everyday lives.

You see, Hotel Mumbai is trying to deliver some harsh message yet inspiring messages that we can all learn from. The one that caught my attention is that sometimes even the smallest acts of bravery can makes huge differences in face of global catastrophes. These messages were masterfully planted in a highly executed story will resonate with each and every spectator.

In addition, and this is where i was a tiny bit disappointed, i felt that this movie needed a bit more character development, we have some backstory to connect with the characters but it wasnt enough. This is in terms of character development but in terms of acting, everyone gave their absolute best. Dev Patel and Armie hammer were both fantastic but the ones that truly stood out were Jason Isaacs and Nazanin Boniadi whom performances were totally captivating and emotional.

Moreover, this movie had a really consistent pace, something i found totally appealing. And on top of that the cinematography, the editing and the score were all really reallyyy good. They were done in a way to remind us that such brutal events can affect anyone anywhere.

At the end, Anthony Maras' big screen adaptation of the famous siege of Taj Hotel is an intense cinematic adventure that can and will change the way you look at the world.

Totally worth watching!!
