Suspiria

The creepiest movie of the year - 7.5/10

by This Is My Review

I have to admit.... Suspiria is the creepiest movie I’ve seen in years. The original film was released in 1977, but this one is definitely not a remake because the director didn’t use any of the main elements, instead he rebuilt the whole story from a different perspective. The first act was kind of slow, they took too much time introducing the characters which decreased my interest in the story. Once everything is clear the real action begins, and that’s where the movie got really interesting. It has a weird combination of thrill, stress and darkness. I love Tilda Swinton’s character, Dakota Johnson was great as Susie and she delivered a beautiful performance, especially during her final scenes. The movie‘s choreography was stunning and I couldn’t but notice the amazing camera movements. Suspiria is not your usual horror film... but make sure to watch it because it’s really special.
