Lahon w Habs - لهون و حبس

The funny “Cell” - 6.5/10

by This Is My Review

As a continuation or a spin-off to the original TV Program, “Lahon w Habs” had a clever idea. Director/Writer Shadi Hanna wanted to make a new SL FILM: A light silly comedy with no deep message, just entertaining and sarcastic (SL Film remains one of my favorite Lebanese Comedies). “Lahon w Habs” is not taking itself seriously, or trying to be something bigger, and that’s one important element to look at, unlike other Lebanese comedies it didn’t lecture us or gave us that dramatic last scene to deliver a message, it’s a fun comedy meant to entertain its audience and it did. It wouldn’t be logical to start analyzing the script or acting in these types of movies. Comedy is the main element here, and it was quite good. Hisham’s sarcastic tone is present, some of the jokes were really funny, others were average. The whole cast was good, even the cameo appearances were successful and some scenes delivered really good laughs. If you like this genre (and Hisham), you’ll definitely have fun watching Lahon w Habs.
