Greta

An intense suspenseful psycho thriller! - 7/10

by MoviesToInfinity

For all psychological thriller drama fans, Greta is your movie event. Directed by Neil Jordan, known for the Academy award winner The Crying Game, has set off a highly intense and suspenseful movie of a young woman who befriends a lonely widow who's harboring a dark and deadly agenda towards her.

Production wise: All aspects of production were mindblowing. The directing itself was a masterpiece, how the filmmaker managed to lead the talented actresses into their roles and executed every scene from start to end. The post-production services from editing, sound and effects were out of this world and elevated the suspenseful tone of the thriller. The actresses' performances were astonishing, especially Isabelle Hupert who really portrayed an excellent role as a psycho stalker. Honestly, she deserves an Oscar.

Story wise: The idea of the movie(stalking and harassment) was very catchy;however, it was depicted in a very disturbing way. For me, it really freightened me some scenes. The movie begins with a dull mood and then suspense starts to increase and increase to introduce the  concept of the thriller.

Again, the suspenseful tone and artistics aspects helped a lot throughout the movie. For those who adore this genre, make sure to give it a try.
