A new world with an enjoyable atmosphere - 7.5/10

A weak script can be rescued if the other elements were good. I really loved the way “Alita: Battle Angel” was executed especially the technical stuff, the whole atmosphere felt real. Action scenes were really good, suitable for this genre, they had the right amount of violence and served the movie’s purpose. Rosa Salazar was great as Alita, she was convincing and the good CGI helped her alot. The movie followed the exact same path as any other manga/comic adaptation, planning future sequels (if this one gets enough money) and it might be predictable at some point, but if you’re a fan of this genre you will love it. The script was the movie’s biggest problem, it was trying to explain and simplify the plot but ended up being weak, plus some scenes used too much drama. Putting these flaws aside, “Alita: Battle Angel” is an enjoyable and entertaining movie, make sure to watch it on the big screen.
