The second installment in THE LEGO MOVIES franchise is everything you can ask for in an animated sequel.

The citizens of Bricksburg face a dangerous new threat when LEGO DUPLO invaders from outer space start to wreck everything in their path. The battle to restore harmony to the LEGO universe takes Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway worlds that test their courage and creativity.

The thing that set this movie apart and puts it right on top is that it doesn't take itself seriously while still having a strong message/meaning.

Director Mike Mitchell, I believe, found the secret recipe to a fun, amusing and at the same time emotional movie. The Lego Movie 2's main message about accepting oneself and others despite the differences will surely make an impact on both youngsters and adults. You see, we've seen this message in various movies but here, it was presented in a very fresh manner that is both hard to forget and neglect. It will immediately uplift your feelings and cuddle you with warm and tender inspiration.

To continue, the storyline/plot uncovered so effortlessly in a perfectly timed pace. Not one moment was unnecessary or dull.

In addition, the attention to the details was what made this movie the blockbuster it is. Everything was put into consideration : the colors, the shades, the animation, the drawings... It was literally candy to my eyes.

And not to forget about the stunning and very catchy musical numbers delivered by A-class performers such as Elizabeth Banks, Jason Momoa and the hilarious Will Arnett. Trust me, you'll catch yourself singing these soundtracks long after the ending credits!!

At the end, The Lego Movie 2 is a colorful spectacle that radiates inspiration and amusement.

Totally worth watching!
