Before watching this film, I didn’t watch any of trailers, believe me it’s a great experience to enter a movie without having any expectation or assumption. “Destroyer” is a thriller full of emotions, you need to understand each character and their motives to keep up with the story and experience what it’s trying to say. The only problem I had with the film was the runtime. It feels too long although it’s only 2 hours. Many scenes were really prolonged, plus the slow pace makes it feel like a decade. Nicole Kidman was amazing, a complete transformation and a different side of her never seen on the big screen before. Some shots were really beautiful especially towards the end. The ending was the best part, it had a clever twist and in a way “satisfying”. All the other elements helped create this connection with the characters (especially Kidman). A great thriller with a beautiful ending, make sure you watch it.
