A provocative biopic with an interesting sense of humor. - 8.5/10

Scoring 8 nominations at the 91st Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director, Vice is definitely a movie to look out for.

This comedic biography centers around Dick Cheney, an unassuming bureaucratic Washington insider, who quietly wielded immense power as Vice President to George W. Bush, reshaping America and the globe in ways that we still feel today.

Provocative, clever and historic. This biopic will manage to capture every spectator's attention with its very well crafted (&funny) script and outstanding cast of A-list performers.

Director Adam McKay, through Vice, managed to showcase a dangerous disease that has the ability to turn its victims into ruthless criminals masquerading as honorable gentlemen. This disease everyone likes to call POWER. Almost every person diagnosed with this disease will use it for evil purposes instead of taking advantage of it and help the lives of millions of people. Unfortunately this is what McKay was trying to show, that politicians (not an insult) use their power for their own sake and pleasure. They create wars that benefit them in order to spread this toxic power into other countries and lands. Totally frustrating!

In addition, what attracted me most about Vice is that even though its subject is extremely controversial, it was presented in a very humorous and light manner without leaving any details to spare. This shows the incredible talent McKay possess in turning an overused genre into a unique spectacle that is a first of its kind.

To add, besides of having a genius as director, this movie combined a pack of Hollywood's A-listers such as Sam Rockwell, Steve Carell and Tyler Perry  whom all delivered exceptional performances. But the true masters, the ones that dominated the screen with their jaw dropping and electrifying act are Christian Bale and Amy Adams. I'm seriously mind blown. They embodied their characters to the fullest and gave their absolute best. They are definitely winning Best actor and Best supporting actress at this year's Oscars.

I also have to salute the makeup team for they have truly outdid themselves.

At the end, Vice is a political biopic that everyone should watch nkw rather than later.

Totally recommend it.
