Glass is the third film of the so called “Unbreakable film series”. M. Night Shyamalan work has always been between ups and downs throughout his whole career, was Glass a disappointment?
These films had always been about the psychological side of human beings rather than the action sequences just like Marvel/ Dc movies. Great ideas were put into the making of Split and Unbreakable but they were kind of ruined in Glass.
I think M. Night Shyamalan directed a good film, but did try too much with the story of Glass which led him ruining his own phenomenal original ideas. Glass wasn't bad but everyone's expectations were high (including myself) for the film which led many be disappointed.
I quote myself with “Trying too much” meaning for example James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb usage of his many personalities wasn't delivered clearly to us, still James McAvoy performance was good but the problem was in the writing of the character of Kevin Wendell Crumb and his many personalities. Samuel L. Jackson was great as Elijah.
I truly believe that the series could've been one of the best ever film series, but again it's M. Night Shyamalan’s own fault with his story. Lastly there were a few good touches of the story from the background of some characters.
