A perfectly chaotic mess. - 7/10

A perfectly chaotic mess, Aquaman is the superhero we've all been waiting for.

Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater Kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and be a hero to the world.

Aquaman is by no means a flawless movie, in fact, the number of flaws this movie presented/contained is alarming and surprising. Starting with the most important one : The story, even though it's relatively new and somehow creative, i couldn't get past the feeling that it was a bit Cliché. Like all DC movies, Aquaman suffered from the weight of having nothing new to offer.

Plus, the script (just kill me) is a piece of rubbish. It felt so fake, like a 10 years old kid wrote it. I understand that director James Wan wanted to use comedy for a way to transform Aquaman into an all on all perfect movie but why make things worse? The Insertion of comedy was inappropriate and totally killed the vibe of the whole movie.

But, on the other hand, Wan might have just created the comic book adaptation of the century, starting with the eye-popping visual parade all the way to the nonstop action sequences that will give adrenaline junkies the time of their lives with their immense power and intensity.

The colors, the imagery, the special effects and the CGI were mind blowing. Simply poetic. Its like nothing I've ever seen before and this is where Aquaman's forte stands.

In addition, Jason Momoa was the perfect choice for Aquaman. I believe that this role will define Momoa's entire career, he was an absolute knockout. A hero and a force to be recokend with. Plus, Amber Heard totally surprised me as Mera, never in a million year would i have guessed she could embody such character. In general, good job to all the well-chosen cast.

At the end of the day, Aquaman managed to steal the show from all the other superhero movies out there with its pixel perfect visuals and one of a kind fighting sequences.

The perfect way to start the holiday season, dont forget to watch this superb movie.
