A great recovery from the DC Extended Universe but it doesn't mean the movie was great. Only thing that made me look forward to the film is the fact that it was kind of the last hope for Dc to recover.

Aquaman does deliver a good story to the main character origin but fails in many important other aspects. A very cliched story yet entertaining, funny and sometimes dark.

A complete mess of a direction from James Wan (director) with the very poor choice of music that ruined many important parts of the movie, also not a first from Dc but you just can't help but look at some of the awful imaginary.

Jason Momoa was great as Aquaman, although his character was a little off, but it was a part of the story for him to be goofy I guess. As for the other characters nobody added a righteous role despite the strong cast.

Let me go back to James Wan, he gave us a good look at the world of Aquaman, yet played way too much with the one of the most major details of any film, you can't have Sigur Ros then Pitbull in the same film? It kind of ruin your whole mood while watching. Emotions are one big part of movies, stick to one if you're unable to shift both well.

Better than Wonder Woman? Mm maybe.. better than Man of Steel? Obviously not. Despite its flaws, overall it was a good recovery from Dc. Plus seeing it in IMAX gives it a far much superior experiment.
