Deadpool 2 is the sequel to the 2016 hit Deadpool produced by 20th century Fox. From the get go, there was a lot of hype and expectations riding on this movie for it to deliver on all the raunchy R-rated humor and action filled sequences that audiences saw and loved in the first one. Have no fear everyone, the movie delivered on those expectations and then some. There is something for everyone in this movie; it doesn’t matter if you’re a marvel or DC fan, an X-men fan or simply a casual moviegoer (pun intended). Deadpool 2 is in many ways bigger and more ambitious than its predecessor and for the most part, the team was able to execute on those ambitions very well. It’s marketed as a family film and in a very sick and twisted way it really is a film about one big broken and dysfunctional family. The best part is it works very well for the movie in the comedy and emotional department. This brings us to our next point which is being prepared to actually feel and relate to these characters. Surprisingly enough, the movie will genuinely make you emotionally moved in a couple of moments! They pull that off by keeping the stakes in this movie, as they did in the 1st one, very personal. This isn’t a movie about saving the world or the universe, but instead it’s about something that is incredibly heartfelt and personal to the characters themselves. Speaking of the characters, we have some pretty awesome additions to the cast like Josh Brolin’s Thanos um I mean Cable (they totally pulled that joke off in the movie) and Zazie Beetz’s Domina. And of course a cool return for some of the characters that you loved in the first one like Dopinder and Colossus. Certainly we can’t talk about characters without mentioning Ryan Reynolds’s 4th wall breaking, foul mouthed smack talking, smart ass mercenary Wade Wilson/Deadpool whom at this point we are all pretty sure he was born for this role! They managed to keep the essence of that character and give him a little bit more depth. Everyone did their part and they were great at it! I would definitely recommend you to go and watch this movie for a very good time filled with hilarious, witty, silly, outrageous, bizarre and emotional moments to enjoy and appreciate. One last note, please do yourself a favor and stick around for the mid credits scene because Deadpool 2 has possibly the best credits scene of all time! A genuine thank you for the person who made that into the movie.
