Nobody's Fool

A complete train-wreck. - 5/10

And the series of bas movies continues with Nobody's Fool.

After serving five years in prison, wild child Tanya looks to her buttoned-up, by-the-book sister Danica to help her get back on her feet. But, Tanya soon discovers that her sibling's picture-perfect life may not be what it seems.

So, i was looking for a light and funny movie to watch yesterday night and decided that Nobody's Fool was the one but i was horrified when it turned out to be a complete train-wreck. Flaws are just pouring out of it. The only reason i gave it a 5 was because of Tiffany Haddish's STELLAR performance. STELLAR. This woman is a force to be reckoned with. Her acting/comedic skills are undeniably one of the best in Hollywood. If it wasn't for her performance, i would have gave this movie a 1.

You see, this movie is your typical Tyler Perry movie, and by that i mean : predictable plot, underdeveloped storyline and weak character development.

To talk more about the plot, from the second this movie started I had it all figured out. The element of surprise was nowhere to be found, which totally bummed me out and made my experience significantly less enjoyable. Plus, there were alot of plot holes that were left untreated.

On to the other aspect of the movie, the characters, i can honestly say that this movie had absolutely no character development whatsoever. Everyone was extremely superficial and unlikable (with Tiffany as exception). There's no depth and this is a really big problem because the movie, in general, feels very crappy and unwatchable.

I can truly say that this is the worst Tyler Perry movie up to date.

I dont know how producers think that one good actor/actress can make a movie successful while it lacks all the other basic elements for it to be so.

So you who is reading my review right now, dont be a fool. Go watch something else because it's not worth watching on the big screen. Total disappointment.
