Ralph Breaks the Internet

A smart and witty animation! - 9/10

by The Movie Inspector

A smart and witty animation, Ralph Breaks The Internet is nothing short of an enjoyable movie that works in every way and suits all types of audiences. It is quite amazingly well structured, full of heart and will certainly leave its viewers satisfied.

The film serves as a sequel to the 2012 hit ‘Wreck It Ralph’ and delivers everything that made the first one so enjoyable, but this time around it goes even bigger. ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ takes place six years after the events of the first film and follows Ralph and Vanellope as they venture through the Internet via a new WiFi router installed in the arcade, in order to acquire a piece of equipment that could save the sugar rush game.

Not one dull scene is present throughout the movie and this really allows viewers to have a constant level of enjoyment as they don’t lose interest. The movie is immensely funny and all the humor fits perfectly in place. It also works with a script that is well structured and layered that every single detail in the movie is justified and feels natural, and to that alone it deserves great appreciation. It’s a light hearted film that kids will love and it’s full of cool and smoothly projected references that adults will identify with and surely have a laugh out of.

The movie also moves quickly and gets a lot done in its short runtime. Additionally, it is greatly heartwarming and it’s themes of friendship and connection are so smoothly delivered. Each character in the movie is unique and compelling regardless of the importance of their role. Ralph and Vanellope’s relationship is elevated even more thanks to some great chemistry and voice performances by John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman. So make sure to watch it as soon as it opens up this Thursday and trust me you won’t be disappointed because this is a truly memorable movie.
