Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

A average sequel to a rather below average original! - 7.3/10

Often we enjoy original films more than sequels right? But I did enjoy “The Crimes of Grindelwald” more. Thus it doesn't mean that it was great and here's why.

There's always that big question, do you consider yourself as a big fan of the Harry Potter movie franchise or even the books? I think it doesn't matter this time you'll eventually going to enjoy the film, but there's always those little details…

Those specific characters that big fans of the Harry Potter franchise will find themselves not liking, then again it'll never stop you from loving the film. Both David Yates and J. K. Rowling answered some questions about the origins of the characters, but was it enough?

Johnny Depp as Grindelwald was excellent as many reviews suggested and I do agree. You'll get a nostalgic feeling while watching the film, mainly due to the music, a way to pull you to the old memories you had before while watching the Harry Potter movie franchise.

Not rushed considering the fact that it's a sequel but the plot seemed very vague. I think it's impossible for you to not enjoy the film and I did enjoy it, but the plot! And I think J. K. Rowling should've worked on her screenplay more. Other than that the performances were good, David Yates directed a wonderful looking film and of course the good nostalgic music.
