Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

Spectacularly Dark - 8/10

The crimes of Grindelwald is just spectacularly dark. Personally, I loved it.

The movie carried me to a whole new side of the wizarding world. It was brilliant, full of plot twists and shocking revelations. I especially enjoyed how JK Rowling chose to reveal the untold secrets and surprising facts that make up Harry Potter’s Magic History.

As for the outstanding cast.. Eddie Redmayne reprised his role as Newt Scamander, staying true to the character  we’ve come to love.

Johnny Depp was simply spectacular in the character of the cold, scheming and extremely conniving Grindelwald.

Last but certainly not least, Jude Law portrays a stellar young Albus Dumbledore, just as mysterious and just as charismatic as the old one.

The crimes of Grindelwald is full of hidden messages, one should really stay focused to figure them out. So those who did not watch part 1 might get a little confused.

Direction was great, although the script could’ve been sharpened better.

On another note, I think the movie enraptures you then loses you then reels you back in again. In other words, I didn’t find it very consistent. I also expected more background on Grindelwald’s history of crimes. However, more might be revealed in the upcoming sequels.

Overall, The Crimes of Grindelwald did not disappoint me. It’s a really entertaining movie that Stood its identity.
